You will no doubt have heard about the Prāna-Pratishthā ceremony of Bhagwān Rāma to be conducted on Monday 22 January 2024 in Ayodhya, in the presence of spiritual/religious and social leaders from across the globe. It is a historic and very sentimental event for one billion global Hindu diaspora.
Prāṇa pratiṣṭhā refers to the ceremony by which a murti is consecrated in a Hindu Mandir (temple), wherein hymns and mantra are recited to invite the deity to reside in the murti.
After 500+ years of intense struggle, Bhagwan Ram (as Ram Lalla) will be seated in the glorious Rām Janmabhoomi Mandir for devotees to have His darshan. Sri Rām Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust (the managing body) has appealed to all Hindus worldwide to celebrate this historic event in a befitting manner in their area and visit Ayodhya after 22 Jan 2024.
The construction of Ram Mandir perfectly narrates the story of Sabke Ram (Sri Ram belongs to everyone). From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Arunachal to Gujarat, people are contributing to the construction of the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The stone being used in the construction of the Mandir is from Rajasthan, 44 doors of the mandir, including the Garbha Griha and the main entrance are being designed by a team of carpenters from the temple towns of Tamil Nadu. The Garbha Griha of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir is from ancient Bharat. Even in 1989 when Shila Pujan was performed, about 275,000 stones were brought from across the country.
The Prāna-Pratishthā ceremony at Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is a historic and momentous event for over one billion Hindus and other Dharmic communities across the world.
On this auspicious occasions, many events are organised celebrating unity and faith across the globe, including the United Kingdom, Athens, Greece, Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand, Finland, the Philippines, China, Malaysia, West Indies, Ukraine, Myanmar, Peru, Australia, Portugal, Russia, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Dar es Salaam, Cameroon Central, Kampala, Uganda, USA and among others
In the USA, we appeal to all Hindu households, Mandirs, Dharmic community organisations and associations to celebrate this historic occasion like Diwali when Bhagwān Rām will return to Ayodhya after 500 years.
